Through various test methods, we are able to gather information on fresh and hardened concrete.
Testing of fresh concrete using methods such as the Slump Test, can verify whether a batch of concrete is to correct specification and with the addition of cube samples its compressive strength can be evaluated.
Hardened concrete testing can include methods such as the Schmidt Rebound Hammer that can determine existing concrete hardness and its estimated compressive strength. To gain a true compressive value we can also manually extract a concrete cylinder from the element.
To aid further analysis of hardened concrete, we can also carry out structural surveys which include reinforcement mapping and half cell potential surveys.
